Paula Aguila graduated, cum laude, in 2007 from the University of Miami School of Law, where she was a member of the University of Miami International Moot Court Board. She participated in the annual Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Competition that took place in Vienna in 2007, receiving an Honorable Mention. While in law school, Ms. Aguila was a judicial intern for the Honorable Sarah I. Zabel, Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida. Ms. Aguila earned her Bachelor's degree in International Relations from Florida International University in 2004.
Before coming to the United States, Ms. Aguila studied law in Argentina at the National University School of Law of Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires. During her studies, Ms. Aguila interned for the Honorable José Salgado, Thirteenth Civil Court of Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires.
Ms. Aguila
was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and she is
fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
