Emily Ross
Associate Attorney
Emily Ross brings a trauma-informed, person-first perspective to her practice, advocating for clients with both empathy and tenacity. Following graduation in 2025 from The George Washington University Law School, Emily served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Laura S. Ripken at the Appellate Court of Maryland. There, she gained valuable insight into effective advocacy within the Maryland legal system and developed her interest in family law appeals.
At GW Law, Emily interned for all three branches of government as well as in the nonprofit sector, experiences that broadened her perspective and taught her how to doggedly pursue a legal objective. Prior to entering the legal field, Emily began her career working at a shelter for children and young families experiencing homelessness in New Orleans, Louisiana. It was there she discovered her passion for supporting healthy relationships and advocating for others, which ultimately led her to law school and continues to guide her work today.
Emily’s personal experience with the family court system gives her a unique perspective into the emotions, stakes, and nuances at play. She strives to provide each client with the compassionate and powerful representation they deserve while helping them navigate what may be the most difficult time in their lives.
Outside of the courtroom, Emily enjoys pilates and yoga, playing with her dog, Diana Ross, and going to baseball games. Go O’s!
